I am Dr Prince Kumar Singh, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar since 2019. I hold a Doctorate Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur,
which provides a solid foundation in the theoretical frameworks and methodologies essential to conducting rigorous research in the concerned field.
My research interests lie primarily in Process Metallurgy. I am fascinated by the
complexities and intricacies within this domain and strive to unravel them
through systematic investigation. By delving into the depths, I aim to
contribute to a deeper extent of the steelmaking process parameters via.
Physical and Mathematical Modelling approach. Parallelly, I am also very much
involved in management of Industrial Wastes specially wastes from secondary
steel industries such as steelmaking slag, ladle refining slag, EAF dust etc. by
finding the way for their reuse/recycling which ultimately results in circular
economy.
In addition to my research pursuits, I am committed to share knowledge and
fostering intellectual growth. I actively present my work at conferences,
publish in reputable journals, and participate in scientific forums. By
disseminating my findings, I aspire to contribute to the collective body of
knowledge in Process metallurgy and inspire fellow researchers to explore new
avenues of inquiry.
Ultimately, my goal as a researcher is to impact society positively. Whether
through generating knowledge that informs evidence-based policies, developing
innovative solutions to pressing problems, or inspiring the next generation of
researchers, I strive to contribute to the betterment of our world through my
research endeavours.
